With over 20 years experience in the field, the owner and Managing Director, Mr. Devon Smith has enabled the company to become a recognized leader in the repair and service of old and modern electronic appliances in Clarendon. Over the last 5 years, the company has extended its customer base to St. Catherine, Kingston and St. Andrew, Manchester, and St. Elizabeth.
DS Electronics possesses an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the electronics market. The company also has superior technical capabilities which have helped to forge close working relationships with many renowned businesses, churches, schools and residential clients. How We Do It
Mr. Devon Smith, a highly trained and exceptionally qualified repair professional boasting an impressive career spanning over two decades. His educational journey commenced at Garvey Maceo High School in Clarendon, where he attained two CXC’s and three GCE ‘O’ Levels between 1990 and 1995. Eager to expand his expertise, he further honed his skills at the Infoserv Learning and Development Institute in Kingston, graduating with a PC Mechanics 2 certification in 2006. Demonstrating a commitment to staying ahead of industry advancements, Mr. Smith completed online training in 2014 TV Models & Smart JIG Diagnostic with LG Electronics, Panama S.A. Currently, he is pursuing a Diploma in Electronics Repair at Penn Foster University in the U.S.A., a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft.
Mr. Smith’s professional journey commenced at Frenchy’s TV Repairs in May Pen, where he worked as a Repair Technician from 1996 to 2005, honing his practical skills and gaining valuable experience. Following this, he joined Portmore Electronics in Portmore from 2005 to 2006 as a Repair Technician, further solidifying his expertise in electronics repair. In 2006, he took on the role of Owner/Managing Director and Repair Consultant at DS Electronics Unlimited in May Pen, embarking on an entrepreneurial path that showcased his leadership abilities and depth of knowledge. His influence also extended to his role as an Electronics Repair Contractor with Unicomer Jamaica Limited, where he operated across Santa Cruz and Junction, contributing his skills to the organization’s success from 2013 to the present.
